Ankohonana is the Clan Fara Capital Settlement, located in Rova Hill along the Red Isle. Ankohonana is found in central Red Isle, west of Saint-Anne. This capital is fortified and protected by its narrow canals making hit and run assaults difficult.

In Malagasy (an Austronesian language and dialect continuum spoken in Madagascar) Ankohonana means household. However given that Ankohonana is located near the center of the Red Isle which is geographically analogous with Madagascar, it is possible that Ankohonana is a stand in for Antananarivo, the Capital of Madagascar as well as the capital of the Kingdom of Imerina until 1710.
