Elder's Cave is a Pirate Outpost located in Rondavels along the Coast of Africa. Elder's Cave is found north in a narrow canal in the Southwest corner of the map, north of Rondavels Lumberyard.

The Coast of Africa has always been the tribal territory of the Confederation of Ungwana. The last few years though, the Compagnie Royale has established itself as a local power mostly around the regions of Pilot Bay and Rondavels.
You can spot the shining stones of their forts and the yellow, white, and blue of their ship here and there in the area - They make for a striking sight among the green of the mangroves and jungle. There are still pockets of the Confederation of Ungwana resistance hiding around the area though and they have some hideouts, that the Compagnie remain ignorant about. Be it on purpose or not, we’ll let you decide. We know only about one, they’re allowing local pirates to use it as an outpost, Elder’s Cave. Hidden in the cliffside, this outpost sits very close to the local lumberyard and can be found if you follow the river down towards Great Ukuta, in the Rondavels area.
You can find its dock easily enough among the trees and the rocks, it lays just below a pair of gigantic faces carved straight into the cliff. They’re particularly eye-catchin’ if you approach the outpost at dusk and the fire lights lit them up. There were some skilled artisans among those building this place, about that there is no question. But the cliff carvings also serve as a warning, beware who wants to mess with the Confederation of Ungwana. Luckily for you, you are allowed to seek refuge here.
You can access the outpost from the gap in the cliff in between the two giant masks.
The cave is composed of a series of rifts and gaps within the cliff. If you look up, you’ll notice huts obscuring the sky. We think it’s where the resistance settled but they remain at a distance, and we do too – you better do the same. After all, Elder’s Cave is as much their rampart as their refuge, we’re only guests.
You’ll notice as you start climbin’ toward the entrance that many leave offerings – a form of thank you as they come back from their plundering. It certainly brightens up the place and give that je ne sais quoi.
The Confederation was definitely not the first one to take roots here though, there are traces of an ancient civilisation everywhere on the walls and the ground – carved stones, paintings, all around you they marked up the place as their own. If you are not much for history though and would rather engage in some mayhem, y'all have many opportunities. The Compagnie Royale, the Confederation of Ungwana and the roaming privateers of the area - that's plenty of target to pick from.
