Ubisoft is a video game company headquartered in Montreuil, France. It has produced well known titles such as Assassins Creed, Far Cry, and Just Dance.
History[]
Ubisoft was originally founded in 1986 by the Guillemot Family, as a successor to the Guillemot Corporation. The company rapidly began expanding, and by 1996 began opening offices in other countries. Ubisoft first seized a foothold in the United States, after they purchased the rights to the Tom Clancy series in 2000. The launch of Assassins Creed in 2007 brought them international fame, and they have since turned into one of the largest video game companies in the world.
Skull & Bones[]
Ubisoft announced at the 2017 E3 that one of their subsidiaries, Ubisoft Singapore was developing Skull & Bones as a naval warfare game. Once ready for release, Ubisoft will be the publisher of the incoming game.
